I hope you set him straight and that it never happens again.

Years ago, when I lived on several hundred acres of woodland, I posted as many trees around the house as I could before deer season. The hunters not only disrespected that someone was living there, they shot holes in my signs and one of them came to the door to ask if I had a dog that looked like a bear.

I did, a Bouvier, as well as a gray wolf who was a pet and three horses who had the run of the land, as well as three children. The guy had my dog in his sights when he noticed the red bandanna she was wearing.

I have never hunted but allowed the local people to hunt fishcats on the property because they had been there a lot longer than I.

The deer hunters were mostly drunks with bad eyesight and while I respect responsible hunters who actually use the animal and are not just after a wall trophy, sadly too many people are not taught to use their guns safely and they are a menace. Your brother-in-law sounds like one of those guys.heartinsanfranciscohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07535397382991383931noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13770286.post-73060552056496408282007-12-27T08:28:00.000-05:002007-12-27T08:28:00.000-05:00Okay, Xmas is over and I've been dyin' to hear the...Okay, Xmas is over and I've been dyin' to hear the update ... what with all the family drama in this here post and all.
